2014Halloween cupcakes
I belong in a group that we called “Happy Wives Group”, we are all as our group name suggest – happy wives and moms as well.
We always try to plan a group activity, playdates or parties for any occasion to keep our little ones and not so little ones busy.
So this year, instead of our usual ‘trick or treat’ activity which we often celebrate by going to Tsim Sha Tsui, Avenue of the starts, with the kids in full costume armed with their goody bags…
We instead decided to hold a halloween party among our group (because our group is really growing in numbers).
There is a park around Sai Wan Ho called Aldrich Bay park which is a good spot to hold free parties. It has a roofed area with benches, a playground and a nearby toilet.
Each family prepared a game that everyone enjoyed. And of course, since it is a potluck party, each family brought their own set of dish for sharing.
My share was of course cake related, and I did halloween cupcakes.
For these cupcakes, I again used royal icing and cream cheese frosting. Although these looked pretty good, in the end, I wouldn’t advise it because almost all of the topper melted by the end of the party (or maybe because the weather was pretty warm that day too).
So here are some of the toppers I did (witch’s hat, ghost, spider web, spider, cockroach, jack-o-lantern face, eyeball with red nerves). Let me know what you think of there 😀
