2010The past few weeks, heck months, I haven’t really had a good exercise apart from carrying and taking care of my baby or cleaning the house… and so lately, i’ve been feeling kind of grumpy and sad (taking into consideration also the stresses i have in handling clients). Hubby noticed this change in me and told me that perhaps it’s because i don’t really get to have a good exercise that releases body chemicals such as endorphins that makes a person feel peaceful and happy.
And so because of this and because it’s mother’s day last Sunday, we went out on a family activity and went swimming at Kennedy Town’s swimming pool. It was a really good facility i might add with lockers and clean shower rooms and all. Hubby and I took turns at guarding Janna while one of us goes for a lap at the 50 meter pool. I had a good 150 meters lap, hubby did double – and janna did 100 with her Daddy as they follow me do my lap. We didn’t take long since we spent half of our stay with Janna at the kiddie pool but it was a pleasant feeling altogether. Janna enjoyed her surprise day out since she’s been requesting for a swim since we got here (always pointing to her bath tub and doing her arm stretch swimming gestures as she voices out – wim, wim, sim, swim).
I hope this swimming gig will be a regular for our family and will be a good bonding as well as a good exercise option for us. 😀 although, next time i’d like to try lawn tennis or badminton which involves a lot of running – my alternative to jogging since i’m not so crazy about it).
Here’s to looking forward for more endorphin producing, family bonding, heart pounding, activities. Cheers!
