2009Today is a tiring day. We visited several districts around HK. First stop – Central. Hubby is searching for a store offering his preferred medium format slr film for his Mamiya cam. On our way to those camera stores, passed by this street that is famous for Halloween costumes. Out here, people takes Halloween Costume parties seriously so you’ll find a lot of stores here offering them.

Keeping HK clean, these guys get the trash from a renovating condo flat.
*Lift for cars. Parking here in HK is usually inside a building. To minimize space for car ramps, they just have a lift for it.
*Maximizing advertising space. Even stairs are utilized for advertisements
*Poor baby fell asleep
After he’s bought his films, we chanced upon the building where our hero Jose Rizal once had his clinic. Somewhere around Lan Kwai Fung, Central.
* The building where Dr. Jose Rizal’s former clinic is located
*Old and new buildings near Dr. Jose Rizal’s former clinic location
*Airconditioners
*HK is a land of signages
*Around here, scaffoldings are common and they use bamboo.
You may see a lot of these when renovating, building or cleaning a building.
Next stop, Mongkok. Hubby wants to buy a bag for our camera. Sigh, looks like we have ourselves another expensive hobby.

I love the MTRs here, so wide and fast and cool with quick intervals, from 2-5 mins only. All are interconnected. Very efficient. I also love the people’s attitude when inside any transportation around here. Anyone, as in anyone – male or female, young and old, is ready to offer their seat to elderly people, pregnant women or people with children and disabled people. You don’t have to wait a minute or model in front of them, when they see a person who are in much need of the seat, right away, it is offered. I also like the security inside every station and the glass fence and gates before the trains. You are assured of being safe without the risk of being run by the train incase you’re accidentally pushed or are feeling suicidal :P.

We’re off to Tsim Sha Tsui to visit Kowloon park, hoping to get there while there’s still some sunlight and take pictures… unfortunately, it was already a bit dark when we got there. None-the-less, we still strolled around the park. Janna enjoyed the stroll as she walks and runs and collects dried leaves (her favorite hobby). We also went to our favorite old camera and accessories shop and hubby bought himself a shutter release for his Mamiya. On our to MTR station, we passed by a window display of mannequins wearing winter collections with boots. I was inspired and took a photo of them as a reference for my own boots ad materials.
*My boots models 😛
*Me likey. Winter is coming! Yay!
Now we’re headed home, but before we do get home, we had our dinner out since we’re too tired to cook. We have chosen a Thai restaurant near our building in Wan Chai. “Busog”!
*Satay Chicken
*Satay beef
*Garlic Choy
I wasnt able to take a pic of the fried rice. 🙁
*Dong Leng Cha (Iced Lemon Tea – My favorite. Their iced tea here are real tea with real lemons. Tasty!
That’s all folks, were headed home and in to our warm cozy bed.
