Yay for Basil!

I’m so happy to share that i was able to plant a basil. Yes, a basil coz it’s just 1 stem that we got from a fresh basil that hubby bought for our spaghetti last week. We took out one and planted it in a pot we have – a former home to a deseased indoor plant. After 3 days of watering and talking to it, finally – it came around and is now standing tall and proud. We’ll finally have a fresh basil everytime we will have spaghetti or anyother dish that needs it. Now i want to add more homegrown plants for our personal consumption.

With this, i am also thinking of doing some vermicomposting of our own. I usually have a lot kitchen wastes since i cook a lot and it’s such a shame for it to go to waste over again… so i thought why not make it a compost? that way i can have an organic homegrown plants.
Sooo, my next project is to set up my vermicomposting worm farm 😀 First, i need to know where i could find/buy some red wigglers earth worm. Heck, im not even sure where garden shops are around here… hmnnn, will have to scout this weekend. I actually asked hubby to find me some earthworms and guess what his response was? He sai “… sa tyan” then gave me a charming little grin… isn’t he the cutest? oh well, i really want to have a vermicomposting kit… I hope i could really do this one since i’m known for my being “Ningas-Kugon” . I hope this time i wont be.
Here’s a photo of my cute little basil which i hope to grow more the coming weeks 😀
