My sister was a victim just recently of a jeepney holdaper gang. She was on her way home last april 27, 2009 from St. Paul school in Pasig, where she works. It was only around 5:30pm and she was riding this jeepney. She was the only passenger at the back with 2 more guys. Just before one of the guys made a move on her, she noticed the jeepney driver (the one in brown with towel) ignored a passenger waving. That’s when she suspected something, and one of the guys (the one in blue shirt) pointed a “balisong” at her and asked her for her celphones. She immediately gave 2 of her celphones so she wont get hurt. The men wanted to grab the whole bag from her but she did not let them and they got off the jeep immediately. She reported this right away to the police.

Then last monday -May 4, these guys had another victim who reported them immediately because she was near a police station and so these guys were caught. So beware of them. They operate around manila and quezon city and they operate as early as 5:30 pm.

They said they sold the things they’ve stolen at Isetan Recto.

This group seems to be operating bigtime so be careful, maybe they still have other gangmatess all over the city. They have been operating for 3 months now. They might also be under the protection of some manila police.
