Yesterday, we noticed that John has red rashes on his head, face and body… This morning, it is slowly spreading to his arms and legs, so i decided to bring him to the clinic in Kennedy Town near his Ate School ( why Ktown? Coz it’s wayyyyyy cheaper than the clinics near our place. Hkd 400-500 vs. hkd 160!!!).

Last night, worried mommy and all, i did some research on what these rashes might be and the closest to his symptoms description was MEASLES. But thankfully, the doctor assured me that this is no way a measles since HK hasnt seen measles in more than 10 years, thanks to the vaccine. I was told that this is just a common rash brought about by his fever, cough and colds a few days back.

Eversince our return from vacation in the Philippines last August, we’ve totalled around 12 visits to the doctor (janna and john) and cost us around HK$ 3k in a span of 3 mos for the doctors fee and meds. This is because i haven’t yet discovered the cheaper checkup clinic by the gov’t and this new private doctor in ktown… Dr. Kenneth Mak.

Hopefully things will be better in the days to come, specially now that winter and flu season is fast approaching.

These all and more are the medicines we’ve accumulated within 3mos
